EL COTO DE RIOJA
Established in 1970, the El Coto de Rioja winery was a small company run by a group of enthusiasts. Despite its humble beginnings, today it is one of the largest Spanish wine producers and exporters known and valued in over 50 countries. First El Coto de Rioja wine was launched in 1975. Since then, the winery has grown significantly, which is due primarily to openness to investing in modern technologies and constant expansion of the vineyard area. On nearly 3,000 hectares, it mainly cultivates red varieties of Tempranillo, Garnacha but also white Viura. Because all produced in El Coto de Rioja red wines are aged in oak barrels, the factory has one of the largest barrel stocks in the world (over 70,000).
