Purcari

Purcari has a long wine tradition. Its cellars, which has remained unchanged since 1827, are among the oldest and most famous in Moldova and attract many wine lovers from around the world. The vineyard is located in the south of Moldova, 120 km from the capital, Chisinau. The climate is favourable for vine varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Saperavi, as well as Rara Neagra - a Moldavian native variety of red grapes. Since 2012, Purcari’s also produced ice wines from Muscat and Traminer grapes, harvested by hand when the temperature drops to -6⁰/ -10⁰C.
