ROBERT MONDAVI
In 1906, Cesare and Rosa Mondavi decided to leave their native Italy to seek happiness in distant America, where their son Robert Mondavi was born a few years later - the future fame of California wine. He founded the first vineyard in Napa Valley in 1966. This is how the history of the most famous California wine house began. The first wine sold was Chenin Blanc at a price of $ 2 per bottle. He was one of the first to introduce stainless steel fermentation vats, and even involved NASA satellites for geological soil research.
