Cristo di Campobello
On the chalk-white soils, on the south of the city Campobello di Licata, in the province of Agrigento in Sicily the property of family Bonetta, Baglio del Cristo di Campobello is located. The first harvest took place in 2007 and already in 2009 the first vintage vine was produced. Baglio del Cristo di Campobello is located on 50 hectares of land, with 30 hectares of vines. The planting density for the most part is 5000 vines per hectare. The vineyards are situated on a hilly area with calcareous and chalky ground, they are located at an altitude of 230 to 270 meters above sea level at a distance of 8 km from the shore. They are mostly planted with Nero d'Avola (60%) and Grillo (25%), and the remaining part is divided between: Catarratto, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay vines.
