Chateau du Cedre
At the beginning of the 20th century, Léon Verhaeghe left his native country to settle in southwestern France. However, only his son Karol and his wife began the adventure with vines. Today, the sons Jean-Marc and Pascal Verhaeghe, who after many years of wine education took over the property and set themselves the goal of restoring the splendour of Malbec in the Old World, continue the family tradition. The assignment of roles in management- one of the most-valued properties in this part of Europe, and in particular in Cahors, is clear; while Jean-Marc is responsible for vineyards, Pascal is responsible for the distribution of wines. From the very beginning, their project was based on partnership, a common point of view and great respect for terroir.
