It all began just over ten years ago, in September 2001, when Bernard Magrez was looking for a unique patron for his wines. Then he met Gerarad Depardieu and until today he says: "When I met him for the first time, I was immediately overwhelmed by his passion ..." After many talks and tastings, men became friends. For the love of the wine a fantastic duo was born: Magrez as a businessman brought developed over several years know-how, while Depardieu gave name and marketing communication. They both realized that together they would create something unique and so in 2001 the first investment in France appeared. During next twelve years, two friends bought seven vineyards, first in Bordeaux, then in Languedoc and outside of France.
